701.1: Taking Flight: Improving Trust and Communications to Reach New Heights
This program takes a unique and highly experiential approach to teaching the fundamentals of trust and communications. Using the sport (and skills) of falconry as a background, this program helps participants to better understand how high-trust relationships can positively impact both team culture and productivity. This is accomplished by exploring the nature of how trust is built (through a falconry lense) based on two key factors (relationships and results) that are the very foundation of training a successful falconry bird . - Identify the key factors of a trusting relationship that will lead to greater end results, whether with Hawks or Humans.
- Describe the nature of how trust is built, maintained and repaired, whether with Hawks or Humans.
- Explain how our “story” of others’ intentions can impact our willingness to trust.
- Describe how “trust” and “motivation” differ from each other and the requirements for each to occur

701.2: Find That Bird!: Using Teamwork, Problem Solving and Decision-Making to “Bring ‘em Back Alive!”
Occasionally, falconry birds will fly off. On these occasions, it is vital that the falconers involved work together cohesively to ensure that their bird(s) make it home safely. During this program, teams will utilize radio telemetry to navigate through the Camp Mary Orton forest in a scavenger hunt, collecting various puzzle pieces that they will need to complete their Raptor Puzzle.
