All necessary equipment is provided. All participants/non-participants should refrain from wearing any real/faux fur articles of clothing. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
During our Owl Encounter you’ll get up close and personal with a wide variety of different species of Old World and New World Owls that are now being used in the sport of falconry.

Learn about the ancient sport of falconry as you handle and fly one of our trained Harris’ Hawks to your glove. This session will provide a general overview of the sport, as well as a strong focus in raptor ecology and conservation.
Join us as we free-fly our hawks through one of southwestern Ohio’s most scenic and stately expanses, while you learn about falconry and the lives of birds-of-prey (and their important role in the ecosystem). You’ll have multiple opportunities to fly our birds to your glove and/or lure.
